Legislation has been introduced in both the US House and Senate to allow nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified nurse specialists to sign home health plans of care: S. 2814; H.R. 4993.
At present, only two members of the Massachusetts Congressional delegation have signed on to these bills: Congressmen McGovern and Olver. The goal is to get 100 cosigners before the August recess. Please contact your elected federal officials and ask them to sign on.
